Top LGBT+ Halloween Films

Once the trick or treating is done, why not enjoy a fright-fest of spooky films in LGBT+ style! Today we'll be sharing our top picks to watch safely at home this Halloween.

The Craft (1996)

Not overtly LGBT, The Craft has tons of queer undertones about a group of high-school girls coming to terms with their identity. Using witchcraft to get revenge on those who have wronged them, the coven discovers disastrous consequences for their actions.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

Can it really be Halloween without the one and only horror musical? A young couple comes across a spooky castle, featuring a cast of characters including the iconic Dr. Frank N. Furter who creates a muscle man in his laboratory. Could it get any queerer?

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Only featuring a cast of the worlds top gay icons, Disney's Hocus Pocus is a family friendly, insanely camp treat as a coven of three witches are brought back to life in 'modern day' Salem. Who could forget Bette Midler belting out "I Put a Spell on You"?

The Babadook (2015)

Ready to get Babashook? Being (accidentally?) listed under LGBT films on Netflix, The Babadook was warmly welcomed into the community as a queer icon. The film is about a single mother and her son who are haunted by a storybook creature called The Babadook, but is a very great look into the journey through depression.

B&B (2017)

Visiting a picturesque B&B owned by a devout Christian, couple Marc and Fred's stay takes a deadly turn for the worst when another guest arrives. With an interesting story and a few twists, B&B explores family dynamics, homophobia and baiting on both sides of the societal divide.
