Press Release: Basildon Pride announces festival and parade

Basildon Pride are delighted to announce we are moving forward with our plans to hold the Basildon Pride Festival and Parade on Saturday 4th September 2021.

Our parade will set off from the old Toys R Us building at 11am before colourfully gliding through the heart of Basildon Town Centre, across Broadmayne and into Gloucester Park before reaching our Festival site.

Our fun filled festival has something for everyone with 2 stages providing entertainment all day, our very own Pride Market Place sponsored by Palmers Solicitors and fairground rides and attractions.

The Eastgate Centre Stage is set in an amazing big top and will feature fabulous acts from tributes to side-splitting drag artists whilst our Family Stage will provide a great day out for kids of all ages. Over at our Gateway Food Court, festival goers will be able to enjoy delicious cuisine and snacks whilst being entertained by Gateway 97.8.  Further details of acts will be released over the coming weeks.

This free event is open to all as we celebrate the LGBT+ community. A much needed fun day after the last 18 months.
